La dupla femenina de Ana Gallay y Fernanda Pereyra terminó su gira por Europa con un buen resultado en Portugal. La dupla argentina será una de las primeras en debutar en Lima 2019.
Con una gran participación dentro de la cuarta etapa del Espinho World Tour 2019, la Selección Argentina de beach voley femenino terminó su gira por Europa en donde cosechó buenas y malas.
En esta ocasión, la dupla compuesta por Ana Gallay y Fernanda Pereyra terminaron alcanzando la llave de cuartos de final, y no pudieron terminar el certamen debido al cronograma ajustado con los próximos Juegos Panamericanos.
En la primera ronda las argentinas vencieron a las españolas Amaranta y Lobato por 2-1 (21-12 y 15-21, 15-13), para meterse en el cuadro principal. En la fase de grupos, fue victoria ante las portuguesas Paquete y Pinheiro por 2-0 (21-11 y 21-15), más una derrota ante los norteamericanas Larsen y Stockman por 2-0 (21-17 y 21-19).
Ya en octavos de final, Gallay y Pereyra se impusieron ante las alemanas Behrens y Tillmann por 2-0 (2-17 y 21-11) y pese haberse ganado el derecho de disputar los cuartos de final del certamen, no pudieron continuar debido a que tuvieron que regresar a nuestro país para afrontar la última preparación rumbo a Lima.
En los Juegos Panamericanos, las chicas serán una de las primeras representantes argentinas que tendrán competencia, ya que la competencia del beach voley comenzará el próximo miércoles 24 de julio.
