Federico Pizarro, referente de la Selección Argentina de handball masculino, opinó sobre el momento que atravesaban los Gladiadores antes de la pandemia del Covid-19 y señaló “los Juegos este año hubiesen estado un poco desvirtuados”.
Uno de los pocos seleccionados argentinos que tuvieron competencia en este 2020 antes del avance de la pandemia de coronavirus en el mundo, fue la Selección Argentina de handball que se quedó con el Campeonato Centro Sur en Brasil y la clasificación al Mundial de Egipto 2021.
Federico Pizarro, un referente de los Gladiadores, habló con “TyC Sports” sobre el momento que atravesaba el equipo dirigido por Manolo Cadenas antes de la suspensión y aislamiento obligatorio por el Covid – 19.
“Creo que para el equipo hubiese sido genial jugar este año, y para mí también. Ya hace casi un año y medio de la lesión de la rodilla y ya van a ser seis meses de la del brazo. El equipo estaba en un gran nivel, realmente le hubiese venido muy bien jugar este año. El equipo lo estaba demostrando, al igual que los chicos en la liga local y en Europa”.
“Hubiese estado muy bueno seguir con esa curva que el equipo estaba mostrando de jugar siempre mejor. Si me decís que se van a hacer el año que viene en esa misma fecha, esperaremos y sabemos que tenemos la oportunidad de prepararnos quizás mejor”.
“El tema es que los picos de cada equipo van variando y será un poco volver a encontrarlo. Hay que ver cuando se vuelven a restablecer las ligas, cuando los jugadores volvemos a tomar contacto con la actividad y volver a empezar a construir el nivel físico y deportivo de todos para que el año que viene se llegue en un nivel pleno”.
“Creo que los Juegos este año hubiesen estado un poco desvirtuados porque, si se hubiesen jugado, no sé en que nivel del pico llegarían los deportistas, habría sido difícil llegar a la máxima cita deportiva haciendo abdominales y sentadillas en tu casa”.
