Lionel Scaloni, entrenador de la Selección Argentina, opinó sobre el estadio en donde podrá jugar el equipo nacional durante las eliminatorias rumbo al mundial de Qatar.
Sin actividad dentro del ambiente deportivo debido a la pandemia por coronavirus, AFA aprovecha el tiempo libre para definir algunos temas burocráticos en cuanto al futuro del fútbol argentino.
Entre ellos, el estadio donde jugará la Selección Argentina para las eliminatorias rumbo al mundial de Qatar. En una entrevista con Radio La Red, el entrenador Lionel Scaloni no dejó dudas de su posición.
“Tenemos charlas para ver dónde se juega de local. A mí me gustaría que la Selección juegue en la Bombonera, no lo niego. Y en Rosario, en cualquiera de las dos. Yo jugué en Newell’s y la cancha llena es áspera. Y el Gigante también”.
Sobre la posibilidad de sumar al grupo algunos futbolistas, señaló: “A Gonzalo Montiel Gonzalo no lo tuvimos casi nunca porque River jugaba Copa Libertadores. No son dudas en cuanto a rendimiento sino porque no pudimos disfrutar de ellos, pero el equipo está más o menos encaminado. Veníamos bien, confiados, la base del equipo la teníamos y justo vino lo del coronavirus y se paró todo”.
Scaloni también se refirió a los casos positivos de coronavirus en la Selección Argentina: “En el caso de Paulo Dybala se alargó más de lo normal, pero él siempre manifestaba que estaba bien, aunque hubo un par de días que no estuvo del todo bien. Hablamos con la mayoría de la última convocatoria, por el tema humano, vale poco hablar de fútbol o de la selección. Primero debemos interesarnos en cómo la están pasando, por los padres y la familia también”.
Por último, se expresó sobre el goleador Mauro Icardi: “Tengo una buena relación con Icardi. Cuando tuvimos amistosos contra Venezuela y Marruecos, tuvo problemas con Inter de Italia y venía sin jugar. Las convocatorias las hacemos en base a rendimientos y creímos que no tenía que venir. Se lo expliqué. En la Copa América de Brasil siguió sin jugar, pero no se puede descartar nunca”.
