Silvio Velo, histórico jugador de la Selección Argentina de fútbol para ciegos, habló sobre sus deseos de ir en busca del campeonato en los Juegos Paralímpicos. “Es la que nos falta”, agregó.
Se postergaron las fechas, pero no los sueños. Los deportistas argentinos comienzan a entrenar nuevamente, con la mira puesta en Tokio otra vez donde intentarán hacer historia en el 2021, si la pandemia lo permite.
Durante una entrevista con Secretaría de Deportes de la Nación, Silvio Velo histórico jugador de la Selección Argentina de fútbol para ciegos habló sobre su gran sueño de la cita olímpica en Tokio.
“A nosotros nos falta la de oro paralímpica, somos campeones mundiales, medallistas paralímpicos, pero queremos la que falta. Los Murciélagos tenemos hambre”.
“Estoy en un plantel de muchos jugadores jóvenes, la competencia interna es importante y yo quiero estar por lo que todavía puedo dar, sería horrible que me citen sólo por lo que gané. Somos más de 20 y serán 10 los citados para Tokio, como en cada viaje; y yo quiero estar entre los 5 titulares, para eso tengo que esforzarme mucho. Es maravilloso formar parte de esta Selección”.
“Hay cosas que jamás se olvidan, como el gol que le hice a Brasil en la final del mundo en un estadio repleto que se construyó en el CENARD. Este equipo siempre mantuvo la entrega a lo largo de los años, eso no se negocia. El que se pone la camiseta de los Murciélagos lo sabe. Y la gente también, por eso nos sigue siempre”.
